Virginia Water Safety Coalition

The Virginia Water Safety Coalition is dedicated to helping children, adolescents and their parents be safe when they are in, on or around the water. The members include representatives from state and national agencies, local universities and colleges and organizations who work with people and the water.

The Coalition was founded in 1997 by concerned individuals with local, regional and state agencies committed to prevent injury and death related to water.

This site is to serve as a repository for information on water safety designed specifically for educators, aquatic facility operators, schools, recreational organizations and others.

Our Water Safety Resource kit is available free of charge to the groups mentioned above.

Our Water Safety Awareness Day Event Planner is also available free of charge for aquatic facilities and interested groups.
