- Don't miscalculate the depth of water
- Obey warnings, do not try to drive through water
of unknown depth
- Move to higher ground
If Your Car is
Submerged in Water, Did you Know...?
- A car traveling just over 10mph, upon
hitting the water is like hitting a stone wall
- The car usually does a nose dive into a vertical
position upon entering the water
- Power in your car will continue to operate for up
to 10 minutes (e.g. electric locks, windows, etc)

- Think first, try to contain your initial reaction
to panic
